Missouri Resource Conservation and Development (RC&D) FAQs

How many RC&D areas are in Missouri?

There are eight areas in Missouri, with three proposed or applicant areas.
They are:RC&D in Missouri

  • Green Hills: Caldwell, Daviess, Grundy, Harrison, Livingston, Linn, Mercer, Putnam, and Sullivan counties.
  • Northeast Missouri: Adair, Clark, Knox, Lewis, Macon, Marion, Schuyler, Scotland, and Shelby counties.
  • Prairie Rose: Carroll, Chariton, Jackson, Johnson, Lafayette, Pettis, Ray, and Saline counties.
  • Osage Valley: Bates, Benton, Camden, Cass, Henry, Hickory, Miller, Morgan, St. Clair, and Vernon counties.
  • Southwest Missouri: Barry, Barton, Cedar, Christian, Dade, Dallas, Greene, Jasper, Lawrence, McDonald, Newton, Polk, Stone, Taney, and Webster.
  • Top of the Ozarks: Douglas, Howell, LaCleade, Oregon, Ozark, Pulaski, Shannon, Texas, and Worth counties.
  • Big Springs: Butler, Carter, Reynolds, Ripley, and Wayne counties.
  • Bootheel: Dunklin, Pemiscot, Mississippi, New Madrid, Scott, and Stoddard counties.
  • Heart of Missouri (proposed): Bollinger, Cape Girardeau, Iron, Perry, St. Francois, and Ste. Genevieve counties.
  • Gateway (proposed): Franklin, Jefferson, Lincoln, Montgomery, Pike, St. Charles, St. Louis and Warren counties.
  • Northwest Missouri (proposed): Andrew, Atchison, Buchanan, DeKalb, Gentry, Nodaway, Worth, and Holt counties.
