Missouri NRCS Welcomes Korean VisitorsNRCS in Missouri Welcomes Korean Visitors

Four members of Korea's Rural Development Administration (RDA) visited the Missouri NRCS State Office on April 26 to share information and innovations in precision agriculture and remote sensing.

RDA is Korea’s equivalent to USDA. It has an active research program aimed at implementing precision agriculture technologies on their intensively managed cropland.

The Korean visitors were particularly interested in how the Natural Resources Conservation Service helps Missouri crop producers implement precision agriculture on their farms through programs including EQIP and CSP. They met with Dwaine Gelnar, assistant state conservationist, Glenn Davis, nutrient management agronomist, and Bill Pauls, soil scientist.

For more information on NRCS programs see http://www.mo.nrcs.usda.gov/programs or contact the NRCS office serving your county. Look in the phone book under “U.S. Government, Department of Agriculture,” or click here.
